American actor and musician Awkwafina made her debut with humorous rap tracks that tackled sexual identity and race with a an incisive and humorous perspective, before expanding her reach into Hollywood. Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants within Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came through trumpet. Apart from classical music and jazz, she started to study hip-hop during her teens. In the end, she focused on her education. she earned a degree in journalism in the college as well as a women's studies degree. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until the time she graduated. After becoming famous on the Internet the song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually was included on the debut album Yellow Ranger. It also included viral hits like body-positive Queef and a wink-y home tour NYC Bitche$1. The track that was published specifically linked to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her 2015 travel guide. Following a career that was successful as a singer, she took on the role of an actor.
